Robot and endo-urology fellowship Urologisch Centrum Noord West-Vlaanderen, Bruges, BE
From October 19 2026 till November 1 2027, remunerated
You will mainly work with dr. Pieter D’hulst, dr. Pieter Uvin and dr. Christophe Ghysel.
An average working week currently consists of the following:
- ½ day own OR time, including robotics if confident
- ½ day robot OR time (supervision dr. Uvin/Ghysel)
- ½ day extra robot OR time for cystectomies if desired (supervision dr. Baekelandt/Arentsen)
- 1 day endo-urology (and functional urology) OR time (supervision dr. D’hulst)
- 2 ½ day clinic, including own consultation list
You will participate in the on-call system with our residents (only weekends, 1/4 - 1/5).
A key requirement for this role is Native-level verbal and written proficiency in Dutch.
In terms of procedures:
-Â General urology procedures
-Â Kidney: robot (partial) nephrectomy, robot nephroureterectomy, upper tract reconstruction,
(m)PNL, ECIRS, complex ureterorenoscopy
-Â Bladder: robot radical cystectomy with intracorporeal Bricker or neobladder
-Â Prostate: robot radical prostatectomy (Da Vinci), transperineal prostate biopsy, HoLEP (3-
lobe and en-bloc techniques)
AZ Sint-Jan Bruges has several robotic systems (Da Vinci Xi dual consoles with simulator)
AZ Sint-Jan Bruges has a 150W Quanta Holmium laser
AZ Sint-Lucas Bruges has a 100W Quanta Holmium laser
